This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and how you can access or correct it. By using our website or providing your details to us, you agree to this policy.
The information we collect
The information we collect depends on your relationship with us.
If you are a candidate
- Name, contact details and location.
- Your resume, work history, qualifications and skills.
- Licences, tickets and certifications (for example White Card, RSA, forklift, trade or driver licence).
- Your right to work in Australia, including visa type and conditions where relevant.
- Availability, notice period and pay expectations.
- References and the outcome of reference checks.
- Where a role requires it, and only with your consent, checks such as police or background checks and information about your capacity to perform the work safely.
If you are an employer or client
- Your name, business name and business contact details.
- Details of the roles you are hiring for and your requirements.
If you visit our website
- Information you choose to submit through our forms.
- Standard technical information collected by our hosting provider, such as your IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure and working.
Sensitive information
Some of the information above is "sensitive information" under the Privacy Act. We only collect it where it is reasonably necessary for our services, and with your consent, unless the law requires or permits otherwise.
How we collect it
Wherever we can, we collect personal information directly from you: through the forms on this website, by email or phone, or in an interview. We may also collect it from third parties such as referees, your nominated representatives, publicly available professional sources (for example LinkedIn), and job boards, where you have made that information available.
Why we collect and use it
- To assess your suitability and match you to roles.
- To present your profile to prospective employers, with your knowledge.
- To provide recruitment and labour hire services to our clients.
- To verify your work rights, qualifications, licences and references.
- To manage payroll, superannuation, insurance and workplace safety obligations for labour hire and temporary placements.
- To communicate with you about roles, applications and our services.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
If you do not provide the information we ask for, we may not be able to match you to roles or provide our services.
Who we disclose it to
- Prospective employers and clients, where we are putting you forward for a role.
- Referees you nominate.
- Service providers who help us operate, such as IT, hosting, email and payroll providers, under confidentiality obligations.
- Regulators, insurers or law enforcement, where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data on servers located outside Australia. These currently include our website hosting and form handling, and Google Analytics as described under "Cookies and analytics" below. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
Security and storage
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes access controls, reputable service providers and secure transmission of the forms on this site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it. [Confirm the retention period, for example two years from your last contact with us.]
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website, so that we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and the device and browser you are using. We look at this in aggregate and we do not use it to identify you personally.
Google processes this information on our behalf, which means it may be stored on servers outside Australia. You can read how Google handles it at policies.google.com/privacy. If you would rather not be measured, you can opt out across all websites using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this site.
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, and we do not sell or share this information with advertisers.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Email us at recruitment@kytez.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity first, and in limited cases the law allows us to refuse a request, in which case we will explain why.
You can also ask us to remove your details from our talent pool at any time.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at recruitment@kytez.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
